Press release: Scannell Properties partners with solar startup ENVIRIA for sustainable energy supply

Frankfurt am Main, Thursday 21st of November 2024 – The logistics real estate developer Scannell Properties is partnering with solar expert ENVIRIA for sustainable energy supply. In the Diemelstadt business park, the companies plan to install a photovoltaic system on a roof area of 60,000 square meters in spring 2025, with a total output of 5,600 kilowatt-peak. The system will produce over 5.1 million kilowatt-hours of green electricity annually, saving more than 2,400 tons of CO₂ each year. The grid connection and commissioning are scheduled for August 2025.

The solar startup installs the solar system, manages its operation, and offers the possibility to sell the produced green electricity to the tenants. This allows Scannell Properties to provide its tenants with cost-effective and sustainable electricity without a high initial investment.
