  • 847.8 kWp of PV capacity

  • 1,884 PV modules across 3,764.40 m² of roof space

  • Around 809,000 kWh of annual electricity generation

  • Approx. 307 tonnes of CO2 savings per year

  • Solar installation implemented under a roof lease model

  • Construction scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2026

Frankfurt am Main / Dreieich, 24 August 2026 – Decentralized energy provider ENVIRIA and real estate project developer FOUR PARX are installing a photovoltaic system with a total capacity of 847.8 kilowatt-peak on the “FOUR PARX Dreieich Airport” commercial property in Hesse. A total of 1,884 PV modules will be installed across two roof sections covering 3,764.40 square metres.

The system is expected to generate 808,874 kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of around 300 average households, while avoiding approximately 307 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year. ENVIRIA leases the roof space from FOUR PARX and installs and operates the PV system. Tenants at the property can purchase the cost-effective solar electricity directly from ENVIRIA without having to make their own investment.

Roof lease model facilitates implementation

“The PV system in Dreieich generates cost-effective solar electricity directly where it is needed,” says Melchior Schulze Brock, CEO of ENVIRIA. “The roof lease model establishes a clear division of responsibilities: the property owner provides the roof space, while ENVIRIA assumes responsibility for the investment, technical implementation and long-term operation of the system. This gives tenants straightforward access to locally generated solar electricity without requiring their own investment or operational resources.”

Partnership for the energy-related development of commercial properties

Oliver Schmitt, Managing Partner of FOUR PARX, adds: “The system is one component of the continued energy-related development of the property in Dreieich. With the roof lease model, we are making existing roof space available for electricity generation while establishing clear responsibilities for investment, implementation and operation.”

The two sections of the PV system will have capacities of 445.5 and 402.3 kilowatt-peak respectively. The first section will comprise 990 modules and generate approximately 425,083 kilowatt-hours of solar electricity per year. A further 894 modules will be installed on the second roof section, with expected annual generation of 383,791 kilowatt-hours. Construction is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2026.

Foundation laid for further projects

The Dreieich project marks the start of the collaboration between FOUR PARX and ENVIRIA. The partners are already assessing further commercial and logistics properties for the installation of photovoltaic systems and, depending on the site, consumption profile and grid connection, battery storage systems and charging infrastructure.
