Press release: Aurelis business park switches to solar power with ENVIRIA

Aurelis Energie GmbH, a subsidiary of asset manager and project developer Aurelis, will work with solar startup ENVIRIA to implement a large-scale rooftop photovoltaic system at Aurelis business park in Duisburg. The nearly 1,700-square-meter facility is expected to save more than 158,000 kilograms of CO2 annually. Commissioning will take place in the fall of 2023.

ENVIRIA is responsible for the planning and installation of the plant. With a total capacity of more than 360 kilowatt-peak, it will be able to produce over 335,000 kilowatt-hours of sustainable electricity annually. The companies are already planning further joint projects.

Aurelis Energie GmbH is a subsidiary of Aurelis Real Estate GmbH, a Germany-wide asset manager and project developer with a portfolio of around 150 corporate properties. In order to increase energy self-sufficiency and also to further decarbonize the energy supply in the portfolio, photovoltaic systems are being installed on selected roof areas. This process is being coordinated and implemented by Aurelis Energie GmbH. There are also benefits for Aurelis tenants, who can use the green electricity at low cost for their own rental areas.
